Mascot Rudi

Rudi is the mascot of the Jesenice destination and represents the characteristics of the area. He is intended for promotional activities aimed at increasing the municipality of Jesenice's recognition, particularly in the fields of tourism, sports, and culture.

The mascot incorporates three fundamental elements of Jesenice and its surroundings: ironwork, daffodils, and hockey. The mascot's message is reflected through iridescent glowing colours that resemble the melting of ore in a blast furnace from which metal flows, on his head is a daffodil, the symbol of Jesenice and Golica, and in his hands is a hockey stick in the shape of the letter J, the city's initials, clothes and shoes on one leg are strongly reminiscent of hockey equipment, and the footwear on the other leg represents a hiking shoe.

The anthem Rudi, authored by Ljubo Jančič, is also written for the mascot.

RUDI Mascot rental

In the Municipality of Jesenice, we want our fellow citizens to recognise RUDI as the municipal mascot in the sense of increased promotion of the municipality and the events that take place here, so we are inviting all organisers of events, shows, conventions and other manifestations to include RUDI in their activities at home or abroad, thus contributing to the visibility of the municipality. The costume of the mascot can be rented free of charge at the seat of the Municipality of Jesenice or at the Sports Institute.
