Tone Čufar Theatre
Jesenice's theatre and cultural activities date back to the 19th century. The theatre society in Jesenice was one of the hardest-working acting families in Slovenia. They began construction on Krek's educational centre, now known as the Tone Čufar Theatre, in the 1920s.
Several award-winning performances by Jesenice's amateur actors include King Arthur and the Holy Grail, Rooster's Breakfast, "Vozi miško", and many others. The traditional Čufar Days are held every November, where both local and other Slovenian artists present themselves.
Theatre activity is still active today, so you are invited to partake in Talija's creative inspiration.
