Overlooking Španov vrh

Javorniški Rovt is reached from Planina pod Golico by passing one of the first chairlifts, not in Slovenia but rather in the former Yugoslavia.

Interesting sights along the trail: Church of the Holy Cross in Planina pod Golico, daffodil meadows in May, the scenic lookout point at Španov vrh, Pristava with Zois' park.

Golica, the Queen of Daffodils

Circular trail from Planina pod Golico to the top of Golica, which was also the inspiration for Slavko Avsenik in one of the most recognisable polka instrumentals in the world today "Na Golici". The trail is most beautiful in May when the fragrant mountain daffodils cover the slopes in white.

Vajnež, the highest peak above Jesenice

Hiking trail to the highest peak in Jesenice. Magnificent views on all sides at 2104 m.

Interesting sights along the trail: daffodil meadows in May, Pristava with Zois’ Park, the system of water reservoirs of the Javornik stream, the former manganese mine, the viewpoints at Belščica and Vajnež, Medji dol glacial valley featuring the Rida cirque.

Blossoming Belska planina

Belska planina or Svečica with its beautiful views of the Julian Alps and colourful meadows of blooming mountain flowers are inviting in the summer months.

Interesting sights along the trail: Pristava with Zois' park, daffodil meadows in May, Belska planina with lookout points, Medji dol glacial valley, the system of water reservoirs of the Javornik stream, meadows of mountain flowers in the summer months.

Vintgar Gorge

A walk from Bled Dobrava through the 1600-meter-long Vintgar Gorge, which features waterfalls, ponds, and rapids, in the eastern part of the Triglav National Park. The Šum waterfall is the largest Slovenian river waterfall, with a 13-meter drop.

You may go to Vintgar Gorge via Blejska Dobrava. To Blejska Dobrava you may go with train or bus or with your own vehicle.
